Turkey Jerky Strips

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb turkey breast (skinless, boneless, trimmed of fat)

Instructions (Oven Method):

  1. Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C).

  2. Slice turkey breast into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).

  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a wire rack for airflow.

  4. Arrange turkey strips in a single layer, leaving space between pieces.

  5. Bake for 3–4 hours, flipping halfway through, until strips are fully dry and chewy.

  6. Let cool completely before serving.

Instructions (Dehydrator Method):

  1. Slice turkey as above.

  2. Arrange strips on dehydrator trays in a single layer.

  3. Set dehydrator to 160°F (71°C).

  4. Dry for 4–6 hours, until firm and leathery.

  5. Cool before serving.

Storage:

  • Airtight container in the fridge: 2 weeks

  • Freezer: up to 3 months
