Chicken Jerky Strips

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast (skinless, boneless, trimmed of fat)

Instructions (Oven Method):

  1. Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C).

  2. Slice chicken breast into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).

  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a wire rack for better airflow.

  4. Arrange chicken strips in a single layer.

  5. Bake for 2–3 hours, flipping halfway through, until chicken is fully dry and slightly crispy at the edges.

  6. Cool completely before serving.

Instructions (Dehydrator Method):

  1. Slice chicken breast as above.

  2. Arrange strips on dehydrator trays.

  3. Set dehydrator to 160°F (71°C).

  4. Dry for 4–5 hours, or until chicken is firm, dry, and chewy.

  5. Cool before serving.

Storage:

  • Airtight container in the fridge: 2 weeks

  • Freezer: up to 3 months

Tip: Chicken jerky is a low-fat option dogs love. For consistent results, use a dehydrator.
