Beef Jerky Bites

Ingredients:

• 1 lb lean beef (flank steak, round steak, or sirloin – trimmed of fat)

Instructions (Oven Method):

1. Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C).

2. Slice beef thinly (about 1/4 inch thick). For easier slicing, place beef in the freezer for 30–45 minutes first.

3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack.

4. Arrange beef strips in a single layer, leaving space between pieces.

5. Bake for 3–4 hours, flipping halfway through, until beef is fully dry and chewy (not soft).

6. Let cool completely before serving.

Instructions (Dehydrator Method):

1. Slice beef as above (1/4 inch thick, trimmed of fat).

2. Arrange strips in a single layer on dehydrator trays.

3. Set dehydrator to 160°F (71°C) (recommended for meat).

4. Dry for 4–6 hours, or until beef is firm, dry, and slightly leathery.

5. Cool before serving.

Storage:

• Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
